ABOVE THE BEYOND, nicknamed "BULLWINKLE", was born on March 9th, 2008 and is the first Massachusetts bred foal to be offered by the Prime Equine partnership. 2008 saw the lowest number of foals in Massachusetts in over a decade, paving the way for unlimited opportunities for any and all Mass-breds that are members of this crop. Massachusetts offers one of the most lucrative thoroughbred breeding programs in the industry, with 30% awards going to owners, 25% awards to breeders, and 15% to stallion owners, along with eight to ten $50,000 restricted Massachusetts bred stakes events per year.
